    Feb. 7, 2010

    Quincy, Illinois

Broadcast Electronics (BE), one of the largest radio-only equipment manufacturers with a broad line of transmitters and studio automation systems, is returning to the CABSAT MENA conference with affordable products for commercial as well as public broadcasters.

BE will showcase its new STX LP solid state FM transmitter and its latest AudioVAULT automation system at stand ZL-2 in the Zabeel Hall.

BE's STX LP is a small, lightweight low power transmitter scalable from 1 kW to 5 kW with built-in exciter, an emergency backup controller and IP connectivity at a starting price under US$7000! The STX LP is of particular interest to broadcasters in the Middle East because of its price, size, scalability and feature-rich capabilities. It is designed with independent PA modules to stay on the air at reduced power in the unlikely event that one PA fails, and has a highly efficient cooling system with redundant fans to extend transistor life.

In addition to the STX LP, BE makes a full line of solid state and single-tube FM and AM transmitters ranging in power and application from several hundred watts to several thousand watts, all with unmatched spectral output performance and outstanding transmission efficiency.

For the studio, the leading radio equipment manufacturer will demonstrate at stand ZL-2 its new AudioVAULT FleX studio automation system. This flexible system can adapt one studio for multiple purposes or power a large, multi-studio operation. It offers changeable screens customized by show or talent, plus offers true IP networking for connecting multiple studios into a single operation. The AudioVAULT FleX system has dozens of tools to choose from for creating, scheduling and delivering content.

Broadcast Electronics offers turnkey studio and transmitter systems for FM and AM, representing 50 years of radio innovation as one of the largest radio-only broadcast equipment manufacturers in the world. BE supplies its products as stand-alone units or as part of a total system package along with other third-party products for end-to-end system reliability and flexibility. The Broadcast Electronics (BE) name represents confidence to thousands of radio stations in more than 100 countries around the globe.
