The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union is a non-profit, non-government, professional association of broadcasting organisations, formed in 1964 to facilitate the development of broadcasting in the Asia-Pacific region and to organise co-operative activities amongst its members. It currently has over 194 members in 57 countries, reaching a potential audience of about 3 billion people. The ABU provides a forum for promoting the collective interests of television and radio broadcasters, and encourages regional and international co-operation between broadcasters.
The Arab States Broadcasting Union is one of the oldest arab joint action institutions pertaining to the League of Arab States system. ASBU is a professional, non-profit organization pursuing objectives such as developing national mastery over communication technology and enhancing Arab cooperation in the field of radio and television as well as developing, coordinating and investigating all ways and means likely to promote the broadcasting sector and seek to intensify the exchange of expertise and programmes on all matters from which ASBU members could derive benefit.
The IABM represents the broadcast manufacturing and media technology business worldwide. Its members are at the heart of the innovation and change agenda that characterises broadcasting for the start of the 21st century. The association seeks to set and shape the industry agenda and represent the supply community to the sector as a whole.
