Quantel at Cabsat – stand no S1-A1
At Cabsat 2012 Quantel is showcasing its broadcast solutions including Enterprise sQ server based news and sports production systems and the revolutionary QTube global media workflow technology.
Enterprise sQ SD/HD news/sports production systems are relied on by leading broadcasters around the world such as ERTU, ESPN the BBC and many others to maintain their competitive advantage. It will be on show at Cabsat with Filespeed - a major new upgrade that lowers costs, increases performance and further boosts file-based workflows.
Filespeed benefits include faster file-based workflows including XDCAM HD; edge browse creation that delivers quicker file-based workflows and reduces server cost; faster software editors using CUDA GPU acceleration; faster and easier playout with the new LiveTouch option; and finally full screen monitor output on sQ Edit desktop editor that increases flexibility and reduces system costs.

QTube global media workflow technology allows media professionals to find and use stored media - wherever it is and wherever they are. QTube is designed to provide distributed access to stored content, including growing files. It is totally scalable and provides users with frame-accurate editing of video and audio. Digital nonlinear workflows are now globalized using just the internet.
QTube users can access and seamlessly combine content from multiple sites, whether on Quantel Enterprise sQ systems, generic IT storage or even commercial cloud-based storage. QTube automatically manages the movement of only the required frames of hi-res media from all the different servers to the destination server.
