JSC Gazprom Space Systems (GSS) is one of the two Russian national satellite operators which holds about 30% of the satellite capacity market in Russia. The company operates the Yamal satellite communications system (five Yamal satellites in orbital positions 49E, 55E, 90E, 163.5E and 183E, a two modern telecommunication centers, VSAT networks in the regions of Russia) and provides users with satellite capacity around the world and additional satellite services in Russia. Yamal Satellites are designed for cellular backhaul, Internet trunking, TV channels distribution, arranging point-to-point connections, maritime and VSAT networks.
