Lance Hassan
Lance Hassan is the Director of Terrestrial Network Innovation for Intelsat Corporation. He leads development of ground systems to be used for Intelsat’s next-generation network, including cloud and network infrastructure, 5G core and RAN systems, software-defined satcomm platforms and SDN orchestration. In this role, Lance has 2 patent applications for the use of mobile network technologies for satellite communications. In addition, he has led development and testing of Intelsat’s cloud-native satcomm platform with 5G core and RAN integration. Lance led the creation of MEF 23 performance tier 5 for satellite communications, and the effort for Intelsat to become the first satellite operator to achieve MEF 3.0 certification for carrier Ethernet services. In addition, Lance has led Intelsat to become an International MNO with ITU allocation of PLMN 90194, which is currently being tested with 5G CBRS trials in the United States.
