Raffaele Annecchino is President and Managing Director for Viacom International Media Networks’ (VIMN) Southern & Western Europe, Middle East and Africa. In this role, Raffaele works to expand VIMN’s business and awareness of its brands, including MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Paramount Channel, BET, VH1, VIVA, Spike, Game One and a suite of digital media services across Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Malta, Turkey, the Middle East and Africa.

After joining MTV Networks International in 1997 as Distribution Manager, Annecchino took responsibility of MTV Spain’s Ad Sales and Digital departments and in 2002 was made General Manager of MTV Spain. In 2005, Annecchino assumed the role of General Manager, Iberia. Drawing on the wealth of experience gained from managing VIMN’s extensive portfolio across these key markets, Annecchino’s remit was expanded to include VIMN’s operations in Turkey at the start of 2012. As part of this new role, Annecchino oversaw the launch of six channels and the expansion of VIMN’s presence in the market across all lines of business. During this time, he also oversaw the launch of the world’s first Paramount Channel on free-to-air TV in Spain.

Most recently, he has presided over the launch of BET France, Paramount Channel in Italy and Comedy Central in MENA. In June 2016, his remit was extended to include the important GSA and BLX territories in Europe.

Annecchino holds a Bachelor of Economics from European Business School, London, UK and an Executive MBA from the Istituto de Impresa International, Madrid, Spain. He completed the Media Executive Program at Harvard Business School in 2016. Before joining VIMN, Annecchino held positions with Turner International, Cartoon Network and CNN. He currently resides in Madrid.
